Welcome to ClearWater Academy! The Lower School staff is eager to start the 2025-2026 school year. We have so many exciting projects and activities planned this year to help support your child’s individual academic, social/emotional, and therapeutic needs. We want to start by introducing our Lower School team!
Our team believes that communication is key to a successful school year. Please feel free to email any of our team members with concerns that are specific to your child. We are all here to support the individual needs of your child. There are 3 types of communication that you, as a parent or caregiver, will receive. The first is a weekly Weekend Wave for administration. Each weekend, one of the administrative staff will email you with upcoming events and important information. Additionally, you will receive an email from Mrs. Nicholson or Ms. Jamie weekly. Daily communication will come home via a “Daily Communication Journal” also known as DCJ and your student’s individual Agenda. The DCJ will come home in the form of a composition book that your child has prepared. We encourage you to first ask your child any questions that you may have about classroom activities or procedures to help facilitate communication about their day. Please be sure to read and review your child’s agenda daily and sign off afterwards. Our team will also be sending home emails regarding important information that you may need. We also use the Remind App. Please sign up for updates by downloading the app to your cell phone. The information is included in the information packet that you received at Meet the Teacher. There are two different Remind groups; a Lower School chat and a Whole School chat. Please be sure to sign up for both chats.
